Thousands more men suffer and die from heart disease than women

Previously, this was believed to be a biological fact, with women being protected by the female sex hormone, oestrogen.

However, after researching over 80 years of records and studies, Dr Debbie Lawlor, a medical lecturer from Bristol University has proved that it is not oestrogen-protection, but a difference in diet, which protects women. Her findings show that since the 1940's, men have eaten
much higher amounts of saturated fat (from chips, pizzas, burgers, steaks, curries, cakes, convenience foods, etc) than women and it is this excess fat and not oestrogen protection, that is causing higher levels of heart disease in men compared with women. She concludes that heart disease in men could be reduced to the same level as in women by simply reducing the amounts of saturated foods that men eat.

7. Read the text about nutritional supplements and do follow-up activities.

Intensive training puts the body under considerable stress - metabolism is increased and
the rate of cell reactions increases. As the body perspires, minerals are lost through the skin pores (the salty one that we taste is sodium) so depleting your resources.

This means that the body needs additional nutrients to maintain good health and to stop the immune system being suppressed. In fact, many elite athletes are sometimes unable to compete as they suffer an illness shortly before an event when their bodies begin to fail under extreme oxidative stress.

Athletes should take a wide range of minerals, vitamins A, C and E, all of which are known to be "anti-oxidants". However, they should also take other anti-oxidants, such as our Revenol. Many sports nutritionists recommend exceeding the recommended daily intakes of some vitamins and minerals to gain the necessary benefits, especially antioxidant benefits.

We would recommend taking our Maximol Solutions and a powerful antioxidant, such as our Revenol.

Vitamins and Minerals
that could change your life

Few people today believe that they are at the
peak of good health -
they just don't feel "on top of the world"

In fact, most people are so used to their daily symptoms,
that they accept them as normal and never expect to feel any different.

But if you think back to the arduous lives of our great grandparents, working 50 or 60 hour weeks of physical labour, without cars, washing machines, vacuum cleaners, microwave ovens, modern machinery, etc., how could we have survived in their times?

What has happened to us in the last 100 years?

Increasingly, "healthy" people are suffering from complaints, which are spoiling their quality of life.

Feeling tired and lethargic
Lacking stamina
Low energy levels
Frequently catching colds/sore throats
Digestion or stomach problems
High blood pressure
Allergies and breathing problems
Poor skin or lifeless hair
Minor aches and pains
Difficulty in concentrating
Poor memory
Although some of these persistent ailments may seem minor, they can slowly wear you down until they affect your whole life.

Quite simply, the quality of your health
will determine the quality of your life
.....even shaping your ambitions and future lifestyle....

Whatever your age, with improved health, your daily energy increases and you will attempt and achieve more in a day than others do in a week

Whether you are striving to advance a career; developing your own business; training hard to excel at a sport; juggling your life as a working parent; or just trying to keep up with your grandchildren, excellent health will give you the energy to continually succeed.

Report after report from worldwide research is pointing to minor nutritional deficiencies and lifestyle factors, being the cause of many people's persistent day-to-day
health problems.

"...but even those in good health today.... may find difficulty in maintaining it..."
Surveys by US and European Departments of Health, shows that although people obtain more than enough calories, proteins and fats from their diet, in fact, usually too many, most are still lacking many essential nutrients, often to a severe extent.

The missing vital nutrients include vitamins, trace minerals, antioxidants, enzymes and essential fatty acids, which are vital for good health. These nutrients have now been identified as anti-ageing and can stave off many illnesses, including those traditionally developed in middle and old age.

Many of these nutrients are needed in combination to continually rebuild old and damaged cells, especially cells of the immune system. The immune system controls your ability to fight all infections and diseases ranging from colds and 'flu' to heart disease and cancer. It also protects against the many toxic chemicals we encounter in everyday life. One of the immune system's biggest enemies is continuous stress.

"5 MINUTES of severe stress
lowers the power of the immune system
for almost 5 HOURS"

Stress causes the body to use nutrients more quickly than normal so that, when you are under stress, an increased supply is required to maintain good health.

"..stressed parents..sportsmen...highflyers..high health risks"
Unmanaged stress whether in the career developer, working parent, determined sportsman or business owner, drains the body's nutrients and lowers its resistance,

Add to this stress, our regular exposure to environmental and household chemicals; the continual intake of mile after mile of motorway and city traffic fumes; slimming and dieting, which reduces nutrient intake; snatching hurried low-nutrient snacks; and finally the immune system succumbs. The ailments listed above are examples of a stressed person with a failing immune system.

"...the prescription from your GP.... just a temporary fix.."
Your GP may write a prescription, although with the problems of super-bugs and limited patient budgets, many look for alternatives. Most prescription drugs are synthetic chemicals, which only mask the symptoms and ignore the underlying cause, to leave the condition to recur, often more severly, when the patient is low again.

For some problems, your GP may advise you to change your diet. Perhaps reducing fats or red meat, eating more fresh fish or perhaps making a major change in diet from processed convenience foods to fresh or organic foods.

For many families living a 21st century working life, this is difficult and probably impractical but there is also scientific evidence to suggest that a dietary change alone would be insufficient. There are mounting concerns regarding the effects of intensive farming and modern food storage techniques on fruit and vegetables - the nutrient content is not what it appears.

In the damning words of the United States Congress:

"Never have so many people been so well-fed
and yet so badly nourished"

More recently, this US statement has been backed up by a feature in the UK Sunday Times magazine reporting on missing vital minerals from our foods.

Dr Ann Walker, Lecturer in Human Nutrition at the University of Reading recommends considering using nutritional supplements:
"…those daunted by the World Health Organisation's
recommendation to eat 1lb of raw fruit and vegetables each day should consider taking antioxidant supplements on a daily basis..."

However, antioxidants are only one of the missing nutrients and most mass market supplements are still formulated using old technology - they have not been reformulated to benefit from the new discoveries and technology.

Many people, who take such supplements, still suffer from vitamin and mineral deficiency ailments because the range of nutrients is very limited and is only up to 10% absorbed.

Maximol Solutions is a naturally sourced, vitamin, mineral and enzyme supplement, in liquid form, developed from recent scientific discoveries and breakthroughs.

All of the nutrients are fully balanced for maximum nutritional benefit and are up to 98% absorbable.
