9.3 Complete the text.

A graduate came from Nigeria to the UK about two years ago after medical school. Because of Nigeria is outside the EEA, he was only able to obtain (1).........................with the (2).......................at first. It was very difficult for him to receive a place on a Foundation Programme. b) A virus disease, it can take a long time, even years, for it to show symptoms. It causes a breakdown of the body's immune system, making the patient susceptible to any infection. The inflammation of the membrane lining the intestines and the stomach caused by a viral infection and resulting in diarrhoea and vomiting.
