Being an independent state, Ukraine pays much attention to our youth. We need many good specialists in every field of science and technology. That’s why there are a lot of Institutes and Universities in our country where young people achieve necessary knowledge and habits. Besides their studies young people are engaged in the work of different social societies and organizations. There exists the Ukrainian branch of youth organization Greenpeace in our country. The members of this organization do much in preventing our land and water from pollution, in preserving plants, animals and birds.

Many young people take part in the life of church organizations. They help elderly people, reconstruct our historical monuments, churches, monasteries.

There are a lot of sport clubs, stadiums, and gymnasiums in Ukraine. Young people go in for sport and take part in sport competitions. Many Ukrainian sportsmen won gold, silver and bronze medals at the international championships.

Ukrainian youth doesn’t stand aside from the political life of the country. Many young people take part in the activities of such political parties and organizations as: “Students Fraternity”, the Ukrainian Students League, “Plast”, “Young Falcons”, the Union of Ukrainian Youth, Youth Fraction of the Ukrainian Republican Party, Ukrainian Nationalist Union.
