Деловые сделки обычно начинаются с писем - запросов (enquiries). Будущий покупатель запрашивает интересующие его товары, цены и условия их продажи. Вот основные правила написания писем — запросов:

 

1. Tell the supplier what sort of firm you are.

2. Tell the supplier how you heard about him.

3. Be specific and point out any particular item you are interested in, catalogues and price-lists.

4. Before placing an order ask for samples so that you can make a selection.

5. Suggest terms and discounts.

6. Close a letter with indicating the possibility of further business.
