Time expressions used with the Future Simple

We use the Future Simple for actions which will happen in the future.

Long form Short form

1. It _______ will____ rain tomorrow. It ________ ’ll ________ rain tomorrow.

3. He _________________ pass the test He ___________________ pass the test.

tomorrow, tonight, soon, next week / month / year etc., in a week / month etc

is used to express predictions, warnings, offers, promises, threats, requests,

Will suggestions, on-the-spot decisions, opinions, hopes and fears (especially with

words such as: think, expect, suppose, hope, believe, know and probably.)

Shall can be used with “ I ” or “ We ” in questions, suggestions and offers.
