Different types of interrogative questions




The Possessive Case

I.Replace the of-phrases by the nouns in the possessive case:

1. The wife of your teacher;

2. The order of the commander-in-chief;

3. The novel of Dickens;

4. The ball of the boys;

5. The life of a bachelor;

6. The address of a lady;

7. The theatres of Moscow;

8. A distance of two miles;

9. The rays of the sun;

II. Insert s, ’s or s’ where it is necessary:

III. Translate into Russian the nouns using them in the Possessive Case:

V. Translate the sentences into English using the Possessive Case of the English nouns:

III. Make up alternative questions to the parts of the sentences in brackets and answer them:

Model: He usually watches TV in the evening (in the morning).

3. Harry lives in London (Liverpool).

IV. Make up disjunctive questions according to the model and answer them:
