Ex.3. Перепишите и переведите предложения, содержащие инфинитивную конструкцию Сложное подлежащее [Complex Subject]. Подчеркните данную конструкцию в английских предложениях.

1) A new product is unlikely to be sold successfully until a wide advertising campaign is organized professionally.

2) The credit terms of this store are said to be very beneficial for a customer.

3) Banking appears to have been started when a man first deposited gold with a goldsmith to keep it safe until it was needed to make payments.

Ex.4. Перепишите и переведите предложения, содержащие инфинитивную конструкцию Сложное дополнение [Complex Object]. Подчеркните данную конструкцию в английских предложениях.

1) We want the goods to be insured from any damage in transit.

2) Lease is a contract under which the owner of a building, machinery, land, etc. lets someone use his asset for a specified period of time in return of periodic payments of rent.

3) Newly established companies suppose e-commerce to be essential part of their business.

4) The workers of the factory did not expect the new owner to sack all the senior staff immediately.

5) A strong competition on the market makes companies spend much money on advertising and marketing.

Ex.5. Перепишите и переведите предложения, обращая внимание на многофункциональность глаголов to have и to be. Укажите их функции.

1) You are to re-register the firm as soon as possible or you may have trouble.

2) The main purpose of cost accounting is to analyze the cost of producing goods as well as other expenses and to advise managers on how to increase profitability.

3) In some countries, living standard has risen in the last decade; in some countries, it is the same as it was ten years ago; but in some countries, living standard has become much lower.

4) In Britain, a general income tax was first enacted in 1799. The British government had to impose this tax to finance the Napoleonic Wars.
