INFORMATIONAL LETTER

Dear colleagues!

We are happy to invite you to participate in the V National and IV International Contest of Young Researchers “Hygienic Science – a Road to Public Health” which will be held in Ryazan State Medical University from 01 March 2022. The issues for discussion will include:

1. Environmental hygiene (water, air, soil);

2. Nutritional hygiene of the population;

3. Hygiene of education, health and wellbeing of children and adolescents;

4. Hygienic aspects of work of medical organizations;

5. Healthy lifestyle and youth health issues;

6. Occupational hygiene and occupational diseases;

7. Hygienic regulation of environmental factors;

8. Physical development of children and adolescents;

9. Hygienic challenges of arctic exploration and national security protection

10. National aspects of hygienic challenges in different countries;

11. History of hygiene.

We offer students, graduate students, residents, young specialists, doctors and researchers under the age of 35 to take part in the competition.

Contest participants are invited to submit their projects in Russian or English languages.

Contest important dates:

- project submission – 01 March 2022 – 30 April 2022;

- project expertise – 01 May 2022 – 27 May 2022.

- final (author presentation of research projects selected by the Contest jury) – 03 June 2022.

Contest registration form should include author’s/authors’ details (full name, date of birth, affiliation, city/country the author is from, job title, contact number, e-mail) and the details of the author's scientific supervisor (full name, science degree, academic rank, job title, affiliation). The registration form should be validated by the signature of the director of organization (Annex 1).

Requirements for publication

The project abstract should contain: Introduction, Objectives, Material and Methods, Results, Discussion and Conclusion(s). The abstract should be supplemented by several key words or phrases on the main topic of the project

1. Text editor – Microsoft Word.

2. Language – English.

3. Page format – А4, sheet orientation – «portrait».

4. Margins – 2 cm on all edges of a page  

5. Font "Times New Roman", size - 14

6. Space between lines – 1,0.

7. Paragraph indent: Left - 0; Right - 0; The first line is 1.25 cm.

8. The article title: centered, written with bold font.

9. Full name of the author (authors) indicating the official abbreviated name of the educational institution, city: right-aligned, bold, italic.

10. Article text: formatting - justify.

11. Section breaks, page breaks, columns, the use of sparse or compacted letter spacing are not allowed in articles.

12. Graphs, charts, pictures, etc. scanned and inserted into the article as a picture with a resolution of at least 300 dpi.

13. The list of references is drawn up at the end of the article in alphabetical order in accordance with GOST R 7.0.5-2008. The reference numerals for the cited works in the text must be sequential, placed in square brackets: the serial number of the source from the list of references is indicated. The use of automatic page links is not allowed.

14. The list of references is placed after the text and separated by a blank line.

15. Page numbering is not allowed.

16. The text of the submitted scientific article should be carefully checked and edited. The authors are responsible for the content of the articles, for the accuracy of the facts, quotations, statistical and other data, names, titles and other information given in them.

17. Publication is limited to 8 pages, including a brief abstract, text and bibliography.

18. Text material should not contain information prohibited for publication in print, word abbreviations, corrections and blots. The author is responsible for the accuracy of the information provided. Submitted texts are not edited and are not returned.

19. No more than 1 publication is accepted from one author. In the competition work, co-authorship is allowed, which, subject to the contribution to its implementation, should not exceed one person.

The contest will be held online. According to the results of the competition, a collection of participants' works will be published and placed in the E-library. The participants of the competition will receive certificates, the best speakers will be awarded with diplomas.
