1. Study the following words:

2. Read the following word combinations and remember them:

nerve cell – нервная клетка

the peripheral nervous system – периферическая нервная система

3. Write the derivatives to the following words:

4. 5. Write the three forms of the following irregular verbs and remember them:

6. Make the sentences passive using the marked words as an Object*.

1. We can divide our nervous system into two parts.

2. Millions of nerve cells compose our nerve system.

3. The brain receives some information through the senses.

4. The brain makes important links with other systems of the body.

5. Sensory neurones and motor neurones compose the somatic nervous system.

6. We can subdivide the autonomic nervous system into two further parts.

7. Give the Russian equivalents of the following words and word combinations. Use your dictionary if necessary:

8. Make sure that you know all the words in the box. Then read their definitions and match the words with the definitions:
