1. The experience referred to need not be a direct experience. It can be anything that you have learnt or understood about yourself, life or others.

2. Always start with the first instruction at the beginning of each 5 minutes.

3. When the communicating partner has finished the first instruction she or he should say ok; the listening partner than thanks them and delivers the second instruction.

4. When the communicating partner has finished the second instruction she or he should say OK and the listening partner then thanks them and delivers the first instruction again.

Steps 3 and 4 cycle for the full five minutes.

 

Make sure to tell people that they can continue to incorporate the process of the Awareness Intensive in their daily lives if they like, in a form that works for them.

 

· The same technique can be practiced alone at home with a mirror or the wall.

· Practice with a friend who also has done an Awareness Intensive.

· Continue with the Osho meditations to reconnect with the inner space.

· Sometimes it is good to set up a support system when the course is over, e.g. people exchanging telephone numbers and addresses; or providing the telephone number and name of the nearest Osho Meditation Center.

· Organize Awareness Intensive Evening Events for people who have done it.

 

 


SETTING UP AND PRACTICALS

 

· Mail out flyers with an attractive and clear description of what you are doing. Direct them towards the people who are your target group.

 

· Have a nice room and set it up beautifully. Create the space according to the people you are expecting to do the process. Have a first-aid kit in the room. Give people a flyer what to bring, i.e. loose clothes, etc.

 

· Organize an introductory evening to give people a taste of what this process is.

 

· You may like to meet with potential participants individually before the course starts. You may want to have a questionnaire for them to complete, or to ask some questions. This can help you to identify any people with medical situations (including alcohol or other addictions), psychiatric history (current or past) and also whether anyone is currently taking medical or recreational drugs.

 

Any participants with medical problems, e.g. epilepsy, asthma, heart problems, high blood pressure, etc. may need to consult their doctor, to confirm that it is okay for them to participate.

If someone seems mentally unstable, then this process is probably not the right thing to do.

 

Always make clear that people are responsible for their own health. This process is for normally healthy people.

 

· You may want to consult a lawyer in your country and have a simple release form drawn up and signed by each participant before you commence the course.

 

· Persons under 18 – i.e. below legal age – will need a written consent from their parents.

Awareness Intensive: Who is In?

 

Please read this carefully

 

 

The Awareness Intensive: Who is In? is a residential course.

You will be in silence and isolation, which means: no communication with anyone outside of the course structure; also no mail, faxes, sms, e-mail or phone calls.

Meals will be provided and are included in the course fee. (*)

The course room is air-conditioned at most times.

In case you have any medical condition, addiction or special dietary requirements, please let the facilitator know before starting the course.

 

Please bring:

· All basic toiletries you need for this time (don't forget tampons)

· Ear plugs (if night sounds easily disturb you)

· Enough maroon & white robes

· Maroon T-shirt/pants for active meditations

· Maroon shawl or a maroon sweater; and socks (socks can be any colour)

· A meditation chair or cushion for the Evening Meeting

· A water bottle with your name written on

· Your entry pass with maximum entry days. Please bring cash for entry pass extensions

· Food Vouchers for any small items you may need (extra tooth paste, etc...)

 

 

Do NOT bring:

· Cosmetics or shaving equipment

· Jewellery and ornaments (including mala)

· Extra food or personal “feel-good” items

· Books or other reading matter, diaries and writing materials

· CD or MP3 players, cell phones

· Bedding (blanket included) is provided, however you may want to bring your own

· A fresh towel will be provided everyday
