Grammar: Relative pronouns

Use which and that to refer to things or ideas.

It’s a programme which /that tells you facts about the world.

Use who and that to refer to people.

Retailer is a person or business who/ that sells goods to public.

 

Exercise VIII. Match the two parts of the sentences and write who/that or which/that:

Grammar: present perfect continuous

We can use the present perfect continuous to describe repeated or continuous actions that continue up to now. Do not use the present perfect continuous with state verbs, i.e. with this verbs that describe feelings and situations. ‘’For’’ and ‘’since’’ are often used with the present perfect continuous with the action verbs.

I’ve been working with this bank since 2001.

 

Exercise IX. Complete these questions with the present perfect simple or continuous of the verbs. Then ask and answer the questions with the partner:

3. How long ___ you _______ as the sales representative? (work)

Exercise X. Choose the correct form:

Exercise XI. Fill the gaps in the sentences below with words from this list:
