what we eat. 5) We live in a time that has brought many changes to the ideas of what is good and what is bad for our health. 6) It seems everyone thinks about all these new organic and low-fat foods. 7) Our lives are fast and we are constantly searching for new ways to save our time. 8) And food is not an exception — we have developed technologies for fast preparation of food like a microwave oven in order to increase our productivity. 9) This device has completely changed the way we cook our food.

1) People all over the world are fond of sports and games. 2) Some people go in for sports for their health and some for professional aims. 3) The aim of every professional sportsman is to take part in the Olympic

Games and represent his or her own country. 4) The tradition of the Olympic Games runs back to Ancient Greece when the first Games took place in the town of Olympia more than 2700 years ago. 5) It was a great festival of foot-racing, running, discus-throwing and others. 6) Modern Games take place once in four years in different countries. 7) The International Olympic Committee, at Lausanne, Switzerland, decides where each Olympics will take place. 8) During the Olympic Games there are tournaments in many kinds of sports. 9) There are Summer and Winter Games. 10) Teams from different countries participate in different summer kinds of sports: swimming, boxing, running, field athletics, gymnastics during Summer Games. 11) During Winter Games the competitions in skiing, ice-hockey, figure-skating and other sports take place. 12) The Olympic Games are popular all over the world. 13) Many people go to the country where the Games take place to watch the events with their own eyes. 14) Millions of sport fans turn on TV and enjoy this festival of strength and grace at home. 15) Among the Ukrainian sportsmen there are many we can be proud of. 16) Everybody knows the names of a figure skater Oksana Baiul, a champion in gymnastics Liliya Pidkopayeva, a swimmer Yana Klochkova, and champions in boxing Volodymyr and Vitaliy Klychko.
