1) Once I read a wise statement and it impressed me greatly. 2) It said that a friend is a person who knows you best of all but loves you anyway. 3) I think it’s an exact definition. 4) There aren’t completely perfect people and everybody has weak sides. 5) These weak sides don’t matter to true friends. 6) But it is very hard to find such true friends. 7) There were some people I thought to be my best friends, but in fact I was disappointed with them and felt very upset. 8) Fortunately, I have found my true friend. 9) We are completely different in tempers but we have very similar outlooks on life and it is not because we help each other in studying or have fun together that we are friends. 10) She is the only person whom I can tell everything and who will understand me. 11) Friendship is very significant for every person. 12) A friend

is your support and it’s important for everybody to feel someone needs you. 13) You will never feel lonely then. 14) You know there is somebody who will always be glad to see and hear you. 15) In my opinion, a person can’t be really happy without friends.

1) I like to get presents. 2) I think everybody does. 3) I also love to give presents to my family and friends. 4) To give presents is as pleasant as to get them. 5) There are a lot of holidays during the year. 6) And we have so many opportunities to get presents as well as to give them. 7) You can also give presents not because of a special date, but just to make someone happy. 8) I’ve got a lot of presents. 9) But the best one was given to me for my tenth birthday. 10) My grandmother gave me a watch. 11) It was my first watch and I was very proud to have it as I thought I looked like a grown-up. 12) I showed my watch to everybody

in class and they admired it. 13) This present was so special because it was given to me by my grandmother. 14) I loved her very much. 15) When I give presents to my friends, I try to choose not only pleasant but useful things to give. 16) Sometimes I make presents myself and my family likes it. 17) As there is a part of my soul in such presents. 18) I usually knit something or make different things to decorate the flat. 19) I also like to draw pictures to give them as presents. 20) Surely we can show our appreciation to those we love

in other ways. 21) We can show that we care about them and pay attention to their needs. 22) There can be other ways. 23) For instance, once I wanted to show my care to Mum and cleaned the flat. 24) She was very glad to return from work and find the flat clean.
