Manual and automatic control systems

There are two types of control: manual and automatic

Example 1: driving a car implies controlling the vehicle to follow the desired direction to arrive safely at a planned destination.

1.If you are driving the car yourself, you are performing manual control of the car.

2. If you use design a machine, or use a computer to do it, then you have built an automatic control system.

Example 2: water temperature control system

Manual A person, who take a shower observe temperature (through senses), compute a control action (through brain) and apply the control action (through hands).       Figure 1.3. The block diagram of the manual control system

Automatic Automatic control system must perform the same function but with the help of technical units and elements           Figure 1.4. The block diagram of the manual control system
