In England many people wanted to know more 1 … Franklin. Some people were said that Franklin and his men were living 2 … Eskimo people or Inuit. Other people said that Franklin was certainly dead. Jane Franklin was John Franklin’s wife. She wanted to know exactly what happened 3 … her husband. 4 … July 1857 she sent an expedition to the Arctic. A year later on an Island 5 … Baffin Bay they discovered one of Franklin’s sailors. Ten years … too late. He was lying in a boat 6 … the edge of the sea. … Dead. 7 … the dead man they found a small stone house. 8 … the house they found a note.

It was the last message 9 … the Franklin Expedition.

Exercise 8. Separate the following text into words and sentences and then read it and translate it into Russian:
