I have not (haven’t) a pen. We have not (haven’t) pens.

He (she, it) has not (has’t)a pen. They have not (haven’t) pens.

Наиболее распространенным в современном английском является вариант с have got. В вопросительных и отрицательных предложениях возможны следующие три варианта.

У тебя есть сестра? У меня нет сестры.

1) Have you got a sister? I haven’t got a sister.

2) Do you have a sister? I don’t have a sister.

3) Have you a sister? I haven’t a sister. (I have no sister.)

У неё есть сестра? У неё нет сестры.

1) Has she got a sister? She hasn’t got a sister.

2) Does she have a sister? She doesn’t have a sister.

3) Has she a sister? She hasn’t a sister. (She has no sister.)

Наиболее распространенным в американском английском является вариант
