Comparative tasks




1. Student life yesterday and today.

A student is a person who is studying at a university or other place of higher education. Ask your relatives about the student life they had and compare it with your experience now. Consider:

· admission to a University;

· ways of instruction;

· courses of study;

· housing;

· food services;

· extracurricular activities;

 

2. School and University – a careful comparison.

Think back to your school days, and then consider your university life. Do you see any differences? Present your ideas, comparing the following:

· building;

· teachers;

· facilities;

· functions;

· extracurricular activities;

· prospects for the future.

3. Living on campus vs. living off campus.

The important question that every university student must decide is whether to live on-campus or off-campus. Both options have their advantages and disadvantages. Compare the two types of accommodation in your presentation.
