Creating the Required Selector Files for Import Into Powergold 2000

In the Powergold 2000 Import Wizard we launch Selector in a DOS window where you create seven required report files, then exit Selector, and that puts you back where you left off in Powergold 2000 to continue in the Import Wizard. The step-by-step procedure that follows shows you how to create those report files.

You should print these instructions now to guide you.

1. When importing from Selector into Powergold 2000 when you get to the step that asks if you want to 'Launch Selector now?' choose YES. After entering your Selector password, you will be at the RCS Menu. Choose Selector, then press the ENTER key on the appropriate database (if you have more than one).

2. From the Selector Main Menu, choose REPORTS. Arrow down to report number '50 of 100'. Report 50 is labeled 'ONE', report 51 is labeled 'TWO', report 52 is labeled 'THREE', report 53 is labeled 'FOUR', report 54 is labeled 'FIVE', and report 55 is labeled 'SIX'. The upper-right corner of the screen will tell you which report number you are on.

3. Put an asterisk symbol ‘*’ (Shift-8) in the 'Input' column of each of the six reports. Press ‘F9’ to Print. Choose 'SEND TO FILE'. Each of the six reports will be generated one after the other. In the upper-left corner you will see a message 'Generating the Report'. When it’s finished, you will see the following message: 'Finished Generating the Report, Sent To Print File Manager'.

4. Press ESC and choose 'CLOCKS'. Setup CLOCK PARAMETERS as follows:

Call up clocks... One at a time

Sort Clocks in List By... Code

Indicate Assigned Clocks... Yes

Then choose 'PRINT CLOCKS', then 'PRINT ALL CLOCKS', then 'SEND TO FILE'. When finished, press ESC two times to return to the Selector Main Menu.

5. Choose 'UTILITIES', then 'PRINT FILE MANAGER'. You will see each of the seven reports generated earlier: 'Print of All Clocks', 'ONE', 'TWO', 'THREE', 'FOUR', 'FIVE', and 'SIX'.

6. Highlight the 'CLOCK PRINT' report and press ‘F4’ to copy. At the bottom of the screen at the prompt type in CLOCKS.TXT then press ENTER.

7. Highlight the 'ONE' report and press ‘F4’ to copy. At the prompt type ONE.TXT and press ENTER.

8. Move down to the next report 'TWO', press ‘F4’ to copy. The name for this one will be TWO.TXT then press ENTER. Repeat this process for each report.

9. Press the ESC key several times until you have exited completely out of Selector. If Windows displays a 'DOS program termination', choose OK and single-click the ‘X’ button in the upper-right of the window. This returns you to Powergold 2000 where you will choose NEXT to move to Step 2 of the Import Wizard.

In Step 2 of the Selector Import Wizard, check each of the additional Selector fields you want to import into Powergold 2000. Click Next to move to Step 3. Then click Finish.

Из главного меню Powergold 2000 выберите File | Database | Import | From Another Vendor. Затем напечатайте MusicMaster в открывшемся окне и нажмите ОК.

В Шаге 1 (Step 1): выберите директорию, в которой находятся данные MusicMaster. Нажмите Next, а затем Yes, когда программа запросит инсталляцию отчетов MusicMaster.
