Interactive Song Matching (Update Mode Only)

Mapping Fields

Once each field is marked, you'll notice the header bar above the ruler is broken up into sections, one for each field that you've marked. Pass your mouse over the header sections and you'll see a fly-over hint that says Field: Unassigned. That means you have not mapped that field yet.

How To Map a Field:

1) Click on the header section for the field you want to map. That brings up the Field Mapping window.

2) In the Field Mapping window choose the Field Type. All fields are one of three types: a Song Field, a Custom Song Field, or a Property Group.

3) After you choose the Field Type, select the field in the list box below then click OK.

Repeat this process for each field you want to import. You only have to map the fields that you want to import. Title is the only required field. All other fields are considered optional for importing.

Once each field is mapped click the Next button to go to Step 3. In Step 3 choose a Category/Folder to import the songs into and then click the Finish button.

If Update Mode is checked, Step 3 is skipped because it is not necessary to select a Category/Folder since songs will not be added, only modified.

If Update Mode is checked and the Import Wizard comes upon a song that has no exact match, the Song Matching window pops up where you can select from one or more 'potential' matches, or none at all. Every time the Song Matching window opens your have three choices:

1) 'Match with the selected song(s)' - Click this to match with the song or songs you've selected in the Potential Matches window. You can use multi-select to select more than one match. Each song chosen in the Potential Matches window will be updated.

2) 'Don't match with any of the above songs' - Click this if a correct match is not found in the Potential Matches window.. This unmatched song from your text file will be written to the 'failed_updates.txt' file.

3) 'If a perfect match is not available, automatically skip it'. - Click this choice if you want to skip the interactive Song Matching all together. Then all remaining songs that have no perfect match will be written to the 'failed_updates.txt' file. You can always try to re-import from that file later if you want.

If Update Mode is checked, whenever a song match is not found or not chosen, that song is written back to a text file called 'failed_updates.txt'.

Matched songs are written to a text file named 'successful_updates.txt'.

Этот метод использует файлы Format Exchange (Формата Обмена Данными) для импорта и экспорта данных. Например, Вы можете создать файл Format Exchange и отправить его по электронной почте в другую страну, а Ваши партнеры смогут импортировать его в свой Powegold 2000.
