From this report it can, therefore, be concluded that General Electric is a well recognised company, which is globally presented to a very large extent and diversified in almost every field. It is a highly innovative company, which invests large sums of money into Research and Development in order to make a change and bring new products and methods of a more efficient energy use. It is very strong in terms of marketing and operations management, which makes it a leading company in the world. However, as any other company General Electric has weaknesses and in order for it to continue to remain high positions on the market, GE needs to have a closer look at their Human Resources Management to make their workforce even more motivated to perceive GE goals and objectives. In addition to this, GE should also pay a closer attention to the Financial Management, particularly mergers and buying other businesses, as it was seen in the report, that some of such mergers may lead to failure, despite the fact that it makes GE more diversified. Finally, in terms of external environment, GE needs to consider the external factors such as political, economical, social, technological, environmental and legal before it enters the industry, as it may well be seen as a threat to the industry due to the GE large size, leading to political constraints, legal and environmental issues, resulting in potential sale or closure of the venture.
