Mike Coulson: Great to see Utd playing with pride and passion tonight, against top quality opposition.

Liam Siggers: Good performance and decent result, still hard second leg but Moyes deserves credit for the way he set the team up tonight.

Man Utd 1-1 Bayern Munich

It was great movement from Bastian Schweinsteiger for the Bayern equaliser - he goes forward by going backwards. At the start of the move he was furthest forward as a centre-forward, but just before the cross came in he dropped back to the edge of the box and was then in space to sweep in Mario Mandzukic's knock-down.

Matt Graham: Tactically Moyes has got it completely right tonight. Doesn't erase mistakes in other matches but its been a great performance.

Harry Partidge: The PL is unbeaten in Germany in 2013-14. Unless Bayern learn how to convert possession into goals, I make United favourites.

Ricky Lee Everett: Great team performance tonight - a shame a lapse in concentration from Fellaini has cost United an away goal, tie still alive.

Late drama at Elland Road as Ross McCormack sees a chance for Leeds to pull level against Charlton denied as his penalty is saved by a sprawling Ben Hamer. The Addicks hold on for the remaining few minutes to secure a potentially vital three points.

"It was a very very good performance by United. It was a pity they couldn't hold on to the lead but there were a lot of positives to take for David Moyes. I think United could actually be disappointed with a draw, based on chances created. Bayern had all the possession but they didn't really create an awful lot, the problem though is that away goal.

"Bayern might be without players for the second leg but they have got quality players to come in. United have got a chance because in the centre-back area Bayern are vulnerable. We saw it at Arsenal and we have seen it tonight, they don't like the ball over the top so United have got a chance."
