(a handbook of English conversational formulas for the volunteers of Kazan sports events)

This handbook is aimed at refreshing and providing the basic speech patterns in most common situations while communicating with foreign students who are coming for the participation in Kazan sports competitions.

The handbook supplies the volunteers with certain conversational formulas indispensable for starting a conversation, introducing people, expressing different requests and responses to them, expressing emotions and ideas in adequate situations.

The handbook consists of ten topical situations including: Acquaintance, Weather and Seasons, Student’s Life, Sightseeing, Sports and Games, Shopping, Emergency Situations, Transport, Cultural Habits and Traditions, Meals.

Each Part contains topical conversational formulas with the corresponding translation and exercises for practicing and familiarizing them in different communicative situations.
