Topicality: efficiency of treatment of children's temporary and permanent teeth is defined by quality and assortment of used sealing materials, knowledge of their properties and techniques of work.

Specific peculiarities of oral cavity to be seald, and anatomo-physiological peculiarities of temporary and permanent teeth, explain the absence of a material meeting all requirements. All sealing materials have both positive properties, and a number of negative ones. Therefore for the achievement of optimum clinical effect at sealing, the doctor is obliged to know properties of a material, to be able in each separate case to choose the optimal material and to use it qualitatively.

Objective: to study the basic physico-chemical properties and indications for application of stomatological cements and amalgams in temporary and permanent teeth. To master technique of sealing by cements and an amalgam of cavities (I and II classes) in temporary and permanent teeth (on phantoms). To master technique of restoration of contact point at sealing of cavities of the II-nd class.

Plan of lecture:

1. Classification of filling materials, that are used in pediatric dentistry.

2. Composition, properties, indications for dental cements. 3. Composition, properties, indications for amalgam.

According to its purpose feeling materials are divided into: For permanent feeling:

· Cements

· Amalgams

· Composites

· Compomers.

For temporary feeling:

· Dentine paste

· Artificial dentine

For linings:

· Treating

· Isolating
