Undo the two fuel rail mounting bolts (arrowed)

Renewal - VVT-i engines
A Slide the clamp from the fuel hose
B Remove the grommet from the top of the injector
C... release the internal catches and disconnect the fuel hose
Depress the clip (arrowed) and disconnect the injector wiring plugs
A Remove the O-ring from the injector
Lift the fuel rail assembly from the engine. Be prepared for fuel spillage
Remove the bolts (arrowed) that retain the fuel rail to the intake manifold
4A•10 Fuel and exhaust systems
44 If you intend to re-use the same injectors, renew the grommets and O-rings (see illustrations).
45 Refitting of the fuel injectors is the reverse of removal.

46 Tighten the fuel rail mounting bolts to the torque listed in this Chapter's Specifi-cations.
47 Relieve the fuel pressure (Section 2).
