************************************************************ Measurement and adjustment steps:

• Place the scooter on a level surface

• Place a hydraulic jack beneath the engine so that the carburettor is in a vertical position.

•• Connect the fuel level gauge Ø to the drainage tube Ø.

Fuel level gauge: 90890-01312

• Loosen the drain screw Ø.

• Hold the gauge vertically up to the tank.

• Measure the fuel level (a) with the gauge.

• If the level is incorrect, adjust.

• Remove the carburettor.

• Inspect the valve seat and the needle valve.

• If both are worn, replace.

• If both are in order, adjust the height, doubling the floater pin.

• Check the height again.

AUTOMATIC STARTER INSPECTION

(Ambient temperature below 45ºC)

1. Remove:

• Carburettor

2. Inspect:

• Auto choke assembly

Connect a tube of 5mm-diameter Ø to the choke

Ø, and blow through it. Possible, In good condition

Impossible, Replace auto choke unit.

3. Inspect:

• Auto choke assembly (with battery)

************************************************************ Inspection and adjustment steps:

• Connect the auto choke unit leads to the 12V battery for 5 minutes.

Black terminal —(12 V battery (-) Ø

Red terminal —(12V battery (+) Ø

Connect a 5mm-tube to the starter Ø and blow with the mouth.

Possible, Replace auto choke unit. Impossible, Good condition.
