Yamaha Motors Spain has produced this manual primarily for use by Yamaha/MBK dealers and their trained mechanics. This manual cannot impart all of the skills a professional mechanic should possess. It is therefore assumed that anyone consulting it while repairing or overhauling Yamaha/MBK motorcy- cles will already have a basic understanding of the mechanical techniques and procedures involved in the repair of scooters. Attempts at repair by untrained personnel are likely to render a scooter unsafe or unfit for use.

Yamaha is continually striving to improve its products. The company will keep dealers informed of any modifications or important alterations to specifications and recommended repair techniques, and will accordingly update future editions of this manual.
