6.1. Listen, look and repeat (Слушайте, смотрите и повторяйте):

6.2. These prepositions of place are necessary to remember in order to describe your room (Эти предлоги места необходимо знать, чтобы описать свою комнату).

Общий вопрос начинается сo вспомогательного глагола: There is a cat under the sofa. – Is there a cat under the sofa? There are books on the shelves. – Are there any books on the shelves?

Cпециальный вопрос начинается с вопросительного слова:

Who – кто What – что, какой

Where – где, куда When – когда

Why – почему, зачем, за что What kind – какой (какого рода)

How – как How long – как долго

How far – как далеко How many – сколько

How much – сколько

Where do you live? How far from the college do you live? When did you go to the college yesterday?

Альтернативный вопрос: Do you study at the college or school? – Ты учишься в колледже или школе?

Разделительный вопрос: You study at the college, don’t you? – Ты учишься в колледже, не так ли?

1. There is a bus stop near my house. 2. There is a round table in the middle of the kitchen. 3. There is a new cupboard in our dining room.4. There are some nice pictures on the walls in my mother’s bedroom. 5. There are some sparrows on the roof. 6. There is an old sideboard in our kitchen. 7. There are some cushions on the sofa. 8. There are three rooms and a bathroom upstairs. 9. There is a cellar and an attic in the house.

6.6. Put common questions to the sentences below (Задайте общие вопросы).

1. There is one door and two windows in it. 2. In the middle of the room there is a round table and four chairs. 3. To the left of the table there is a piano. 4. There are two candles on the piano. 5. Next to the piano there is a mirror. 6. To the right of the table there is a fireplace. 7. There are two armchairs in front of the fireplace. 8. There is a window between the bookcase and the mirror. 9. There are three roses in a vase on the table and there is a fat cat under the table.

6.7. Put special questions to the sentences in ex: 6.3, beginning with «What …?» (К предложениям упр: 6.3 задайте специальные вопросы, начиная с вопросительного слова: «Что …?»)
