Technology for oil and natural gases Technology for carbon and composite materials Students study theoretical basis of chemical technology for fuels and carbon materials; fundamentals of scientific research and projection, chemist-y and technology for lubricants, natural fuels and natural materials, chemical technology for petroleum refining and gas processing; production processes end equipment employed in petrochemical technology.

Metallurgy of precious metals

Aluminum and magnesium electrometallurgy

Metallurgy of heavy non-ferrous metals

Metallurgy of refractory metals and silicon

Students gain knowledge of hydro- and pyrometallurgy processes, physical-chemical methods of research into metallurgical processes, geo- and biotechnologies, modern technological processes tor extraction of metals from ores and concentrates.

Automation of technological processes and production in:

-Miring

-Non-ferrous metallurgy

- Chemical and food industry

Students gain knowledge of such areas as the integrated projecting and management systems PEACS (Production Engineering Automatic Control Systems), information and measuring systems of composition and quality of production, use of microprocessor engineering in management, Information and enterprises' security, and other important disciplines necessary for an expert in the field of automation of production. Training of experts is performed h specialized classes and laboratories equipped with the advanced software, measuring and microprocessor engineering.

During training students a-e Introduced to theoretical bases of environmental protection, ecological monitoring, methods of measurement and control of environmental objects' quality; technology' for industrial waste processing as well as technology and techniques for waste treatment and air cleansing; fundamentals of wasteless production and treatment plants designing; making ecological assessment of projects and objects; an economical evaluation of natural resources; environmental regulations.

Technology for basic organic and petrochemical synthesis

Surface-active substance technology Chemical-pharmaceutical preparation technology Students study theoretical and practical aspects of organic synthesis of products used as solvents, detergents, pesticides, refrigerants, heat carriers, various Intermediate products for further chemical converting into synthetic rubber; various types of plastic, synthetic fibres, dyes and pharmaceutics substances.
